Sumitomo (SHI) Demag restructures national sales leadership team in Germany

Schwaig, May 21, 2019 – Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery GmbH announces a new sales management in Germany, effective since May 1, 2019.

Significant sales increase for Sumitomo (SHI) Demag

Schwaig, March 7, 2019 –Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Group with headquarters in Schwaig and production sites in Schwaig, Wiehe (Germany) and Ningbo (China) has posted all-positive results for the fiscal year of 2018. Global sales increased by 13% to EUR 294.9m with incoming orders rising by 6% to EUR 314.2m. The demand for IntElect all-electric injection moulding machines and El-Exis packaging machines was the main contributor to this major sales increase.

Management changes for Sumitomo (SHI) Demag

Schwaig, January 15, 2019 – Shoichi Ohira will join the management board of Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery as COO (Chief Operation Officer) and Head of Production, effective 15 January 2019. Chief Collaboration Officer Hideki Kuroiwa will change into management and return to Japan shortly, where he will be responsible for Global Planning, and coordinating future joint projects within Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Group.

All-electric IntElect machines pave the way to zero-defect production

Schwaig, September 27, 2018 – SuK Kunststofftechnik GmbH with headquarters in Kierspe/Germany specialises in the production of industrial parts for the automotive industry and its suppliers. For these customers, zero-defect production is not a nice extra but widely expected. Undeterred by the rising pressure on prices and stiff competition, the German injection moulding specialist is looking forward to a bright future thanks to its extensive moulding expertise and a highly efficient, all-automatic production line. Recently, the company has added a new chapter to its SuKcess story and acquired several all-electric injection moulding machines made by Sumitomo (SHI) Demag. In addition to the impressive performance of these machines, SuK anticipates process-technology related benefits for techniques such as physical foaming.

Schwaig, September 3, 2018 – At Fakuma 2018, Stand 1105, Hall B1, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery GmbH has chosen the motto of “Precision. Power. Productivity.” to showcase the company’s commitment to continuity and its high level of expertise in three core target markets. This year, the IntElect S will run a medical engineering application to demonstrate the new all-electric machine series for high-speed parts. An El-Exis SP 200 will run a high-speed IML application from the packaging segment and a versatile Systec Servo with advanced IMD technology, a new design and functional integration for the core segment of automotive applications.
